The Electric Carnival was an interactive exhibit, produced by Paul Allen’s Interval Research, for the Lollapalooza ’94 North American Tour. Through multimedia installations we explored how youth interact with computers, deploying cutting edge digital tools, emerging Internet publishing and web-casting techniques in unpredictable, chaotic environments. I joined the team first as production coordinator, establishing the project’s San Francisco office, and then traveled with the tour managing volunteers from across the country. The Electric Carnival drew approximately 60,000 people throughout the course of the 35-city concert tour.
